Privacy notice
This Privacy Notice is directed to Independent Professionals, Clients, Suppliers, and BDO Employees and Partners, both active and inactive, whose Personal Data is included in the Companies' Databases.
THE BDO BUSINESS GROUP (hereinafter BDO), made up of the companies BDO AUDITORES Y CONSULTORES, SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA and BDO AUDIT GUATEMALA, SOCIEDAD ANONIMA, all companies duly constituted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, domiciled in the 5th. Avenida 5-55 zone 14, Europlaza World Business Center Building, Tower II, Level 9, Guatemala, Guatemala and email marketingmail@bdo.com.gt, for everything related to queries and claims related to the protection of personal data.
INFORMS:
That BDO collects, stores, uses and transmits or transfers (as applicable) the personal data of its Independent Professionals, Clients, Suppliers, BDO Employees and Partners, both active and inactive, for the following purposes:
a) Execute the contracts that have been signed with clients.
b) Make payment of contractual obligations.
c) Send the information to governmental or judicial entities upon their express request.
d) Support external and internal audit processes.
e) Make payroll payment, issue labor certifications, invites to company events
to its active workers.
f) Issuance of labor certificates requested by workers who have
retired from the company.
g) Contact independent professionals, workers, clients and suppliers, to send commercial information that may be requested or that has to do with the contractual relationship between the parties.
h) Develop internal communication campaigns that may contain data from BDO employees and partners in Guatemala.
i) Contact professionals who send their resumes for job interviews.
j) Presentation of proposals that are requested either electronically, in writing or by electronic means.
k) Sending emails containing newsletters, publications, invitations to events and information that may be relevant to clients and/or prospects.
l) Sending proposals and service portfolio.
m) Sending satisfaction surveys and service improvement programs (only for customers).
The personal data collected for the aforementioned purposes may be disclosed to the personnel that make up the Human Talent Department, Financial Department, Administrative Department, Marketing and Business Development Department, Legal Department and Purchasing Department.
Additionally, we inform you that once the need to process your data ceases, it may be deleted from BDO's databases or archived in secure terms so that it can only be disclosed when it is appropriate within the framework of the law.
As the owner of personal data, you have the rights listed below:
a) Know, update and rectify your personal data with those responsible and in charge of the treatment. This right may be exercised, among others, against partial, inaccurate, incomplete, fragmented, misleading data, or data whose processing is expressly prohibited or has not been authorized.
b) Request proof of the authorization granted, except when it is expressly excepted as a requirement for treatment.
c) Be informed of the use that has been given to your personal data by the person responsible or in charge of processing the data upon written request.
d) Revoke the authorization and/or request the deletion of the data when the processing does not respect constitutional and legal principles, rights and guarantees.
e) Access free of charge to your personal data that has been processed.
f) Power to grant or not grant authorization when the processing involves sensitive data.
At BDO, the channels listed below are made available to data owners, through which queries and complaints regarding the processing of personal data will be received. The procedure for this can be found in our data processing policy, which is published on our website www.bdo.com.gt
