Over the last years the third sector has expanded and increased the number of not for profit organizations which every day drive an equally  increasing number of human and economic resources.

The current context calls for new challenges both for private and public players: there is a growing demand for resource management and performance transparency. In fact, diverse social players involved are evaluating the quality of welfare activities, demanding from third sector organization not only willingness to help but also performace and effectiveness, measured in terms of the impact on those who benefit from them. NPO services require ongoing and cosntant professionalization.

But we understand what sets charitable organisations apart - creating social value, not profit. At BDO we believe that they can improve their processes & performance methods, aimed at assessing the structural grounds of poverty and promoting social welfare. The support of welfare tasks and ethical values behind these organizations and their work base can and must be conducted based on quality management environment. Organizations willing to succeed and be at the forefront of social improvement must face this challenge.
